Our Taster Day Gift Voucher makes a truly fantastic and most unusual present for that special person in your life. Go on, treat them to a 'once-in-a-lifetime' day out.
It will entitle the holder to a full day’s paragliding training, starting at 0830 until the early evening (time varies depending on time of year):
The Taster Day will include:
- Welcome and briefing session.
- Safety procedures.
- Introduction to the equipment and an explanation of how it all works.
- How to inspect all the equipment prior to flying (pre-flight and safety checks).
- How to take off, fly the paraglider and land it again safely.
- At least three solo flights to around 150ft.
- The fee includes the hire of all flying equipment, temporary membership to the BHPA and transport to and from our private flying sites.
The morning will be mainly theory and basic ground work with very low flights, but in the afternoon, the 'real' flying will begin. By the end of the day they should have achieved a minimum of three flights as 'Pilot In Command' to a height of around 150ft above the ground with each one lasting three to five minutes.
The Tandem Flight Gift Voucher will include:
- Welcome and briefing session.
- Safety procedures.
- Introduction to the equipment and an explanation of how it all works.
- How to inspect all the equipment prior to flying (pre-flight and safety checks).
- Two high flights with an instructor.
- The fee includes the hire of all flying equipment, temporary membership to the BHPA and transport to and from our private flying sites.
They will be winch launched to between 1000ft and 1500ft (depending on wind and weather) and each flight will last between five and ten minutes (again depending on the weather).
The recipient must be prepared to attend for the full day starting at around 0830 (so we can pick the right 'weather window'), but in most cases it can be arranged so that they can leave once their flights have been completed.
Winch Endorsement Gift Voucher
This one day conversion course is for people that already have a CP (hill) rating and have more than ten hours airtime. Once qualified, the pilot will be able to fly with any BHPA Tow Club (including ours).
Please note: We will need to have received a completed booking form and a completed fitness declaration form before we can confirm a booking. If you have a preferred date, please call us; we may be able to hold it for you until your completed forms have arrived.

If you're in no hurry, then booking forms etc. will be sent to you with your joining instructions, gift voucher and introductory paperwork. Typically, these will be with you twenty four hours after your purchase.
