95% of our customers now prefer to buy online instead of actually going into a shop (who are we to argue when it saves us the cost of running an expensive retail outlet and industrial unit?).

So, as a result; after twenty two years (1989 to 2011), we finally closed our 'walk-in' shop and all our equipment sales are now online or by telephone as people now prefer. Goods will be delivered directly from our warehouse, the UK importer or the product manufacturer.

Most of our stock will be stored in our new warehouse and workshop and we will only have small items on show at the new office (varios, radios, helmets, gloves, boots, karabiners and maillons etc.).

Why not take a look at our online shop now or call us to discuss your requirements? We can still arrange for you to view equipment first if you would prefer to do it the 'old fashioned way' - just call or email us to arrange it.

ParAvion Office

Now that we no longer need to have staff in our shop, our office isn't always manned all day. Obviously, if we're flying nobody will be there, so please leave a message and we'll call you back as soon as we're able to.

By Rail

We are only a five minute walk from Pewsey railway station. By prior arrangement we can pick you up at our office on flying days if you would prefer to travel by train. There are regular trains from London Paddington and Exeter St Davids to Pewsey.

Exit the station from the westbound platform, turn right and walk down the hill, turn left into the High Street (after passing the Fire Station and Police Station). To find us, go up the four steps to the left of Blush Beauty Salon and Peter MacLaine Estate Agents, through the blue door on the right and up the stairs. We are to the left on the first floor.

By Road

As you come into Pewsey, turn into the High Street and we're on the immediate left above the Estate Agents (behind the Police Station). To find us, go up the four steps to the left of Peter MacLaine Estate Agents and through the door on the right and up the stairs. We are to the left on the first floor. The best place to park will be the Co-Op car park opposite (it's free). Please don't park outside the Estate Agents.

Our Airfields

When the flying is called on, you will be told to meet at one of the following airfields. If you're not a student, but would like to come and watch us fly; telephone after 1930 the night before to see if we are flying. If we are, please feel free to join us by following the instructions left on the message.

For safety reasons please DO NOT bring dogs or children to either of the airfields without prior arrangement and refrain from smoking until the Duty Instructor has told you where you can smoke and where you must not.

As you turn into Devizes Road from Rushall, you will see some farm buildings with a grain silo on your left. Take the next left turn into the farm track just after those buildings. Just follow that track (Charlton Drove) all the way to the top of the hill until you see the aircraft hangar in front of you (it has a green door). Park just before the hangar on the grass verge on the right. Be sure that you don't block the track as farm vehicles use it all the time.

Drive north-west of Shrivenham and over the bridge for just under a mile. You will see the sign for the Vale Of White Horse Gliding Centre at Sandhill Farm - turn in here. If the gate is locked because you are early; please don't block the road by waiting. Turn around and go back towards the village to find a parking space and wait until the specified time.
